The Soltera 2.5 is Aventon’s lightweight city bike. At 46 lb it is one of the lighter throttle-equipped class-2 bikes, and it keeps a slim look by hiding a small 345.6 Wh battery inside the down tube.
The 2.5 update adds a double-sided bottom-bracket torque sensor to the 36V 350W hub motor (540W peak, 45 N·m), plus Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and a colour display. Aventon quotes up to 46 miles; Electric Bike Report measured about 29 miles at maximum assist and 55 miles at minimum.
The frame is double-butted 6061 aluminium in S, M and L, with a 7-speed Shimano Tourney drivetrain and 700 × 38C Kenda tyres.
Best suited for
US urban riders who want a light, slim class-2 bike with a torque sensor that is easy to carry upstairs.
